For too long, good interior design has felt like something reserved for certain homes, certain budgets, and certain people. I don't believe it should be.

I'm Ella Mathis, an interior designer based in Inglewood, California, and I design spaces for real life. Apartments. Houses. One room that desperately needs help. A home you've owned for years and are finally ready to make your own.

My work is personal, colorful, layered, and never about making your home look like everyone else's. I want to know what you love, how you live, what you've collected, and what makes you feel like you. Then we build the design from there.

Sometimes that means starting from scratch. Sometimes it means working with what you already have. Good design isn't about throwing everything away and buying a whole new life.
